Better than sliced bread, or dare we say, peanut butter and jelly, Rica Web Design is thrilled to be opening their digital doors to new clients. We’re starting of 2016 with a bang dammit, and that’s with the launching our much anticipated website.
For several years, Rica’s OG-owner and CEO Garrett put his heart and soul into coding and producing… to toot his own horn… visually appealing and functionally jaw-dropping websites.
Creating a website is a lot like building a home. You’re literally taking something from concept to design to implementation. And although Garrett was building beautiful, functional online “homes” for businesses, a good interior designer is always needed to breathe life into, not to mention over time a good cleaning and maintenance crew to keep the site looking and performing good as new. With his head seemingly always buried in strings of code, it was difficult to interview and find good contractors to get the work done to his impeccable standards, and next to impossible to extend many services beyond launch.
In a stroke of fate, luck, juju, chance or whatever term one prefers to assign to good fortune, Garrett found the yin to his yang, the peanut butter to his jelly…professionally speaking.
Enter me, a freelance writer and digital marketer with over a decade of experience and a strong desire to make my own schedule. It wasn’t hard to recognize after perusing his portfolio that Garrett was a unicorn by industry standards. A developer and a designer that had a firm grasp on design and UI. “Pinch me I’m dreaming,” I thought.
Our story officially began when a family friend came to me asking for some help on a simple 1-page site for his restaurant, Garrett was kind enough to agree to help. The client’s site turned our better than imagined, both our opinion and the owner’s opinion…and quite possibly his exact words.
Several projects later, Garrett extended the invitation to make Rica and joint endeavor. Now with our full-service web design and digital marketing teams up and running, we look forward to extending our invitation to you to be part of the Rica family.
